For over 150 years, the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse in Riverside, RI has lit the way for mariners with a fixed red light beaming across the Providence River. Not too long ago, the Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse decided to embellish its illumination for the holidays.
Spotlights on all four sides of the house, colorful strings of lights on the flagpole, wreath on the oil house, and a garland of white lights strung on the gallery railing on top all were added to make the lighthouse more festive.
But something was missing. This year, Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse had bigger ideas. Board Members Alex Dias (Vice-Chair), Adam Dias (Treasurer), and Dennis Tardiff (Chair and former Coast Guard Keeper) added strings of colored lights to the newly constructed picket fence and the outline of the lighthouse itself.

A second string of white lights was added to the gallery, and the results were amazing. This season, photographers from all over have flocked to the area to capture photos of this beautiful landmark as it sits festively on a rock in Narragansett Bay, all dressed up and ready for the 2023 holiday season.
