The Friends of Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse will hold their annual meeting at the Rockland Yacht Club in Harbor Park on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 5:30 pm.

The meeting is open to the public and will feature video and photography presentations by Craig Mathieson and Bob Trapani, Jr., in addition to updates on the exciting plans at Rockland Breakwater and Owls Head lighthouses for 2012.

Mr. Mathieson, who is presently working on a documentary about Owls Head Lighthouse, will be showing video footage from 2011 at both Rockland Breakwater and Owls Head lights, while Mr. Trapani will present a program on the restoration achievements in 2011 by the Friends of Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse.

Eric Davis, chairman for the Friends of Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, will discuss how the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse will be the benefactor of new restoration work at the site in 2012. He will also be making an exciting announcement about the new name for the Friends group, which will be unveiled at the meeting along with a new logo and website

Light refreshments will be served. You can also learn more about the volunteer opportunities available at either Rockland Breakwater or Owls Head lighthouses. For more information, visit: www.rocklandlighthouse.com.
