It takes a team to protect these beautiful lighthouses and their natural environments.

The gleams of a lighthouse have traditionally guided many a mariner through the tempest or simply welcomed them home. Today, lighthouses still guide those at sea, but they also serve as a guiding “light” and inspiration for countless people the world over.

Over the last 30 years, the American Lighthouse Foundation’s mission has impacted hundreds of thousands of people through our historic preservation projects, public access programs and educational initiatives. For some of our visitors, it is their first time to see a lighthouse in person and oh, how they enjoy climbing to the top for a birds-eye view!
