East End Lighthouses, an affiliate of the American Lighthouse
Foundation will be hosting a cruise aboard the "Peconic Star II" on the
waters of eastern Long Island and Gardiner's Bay. Learn about the unique
maritime history of the area including that of Plum Island and Gardiner's
Island.

2008...ALF Bar Harbor Lighthouse Cruise!
Join the American Lighthouse Foundation for a fun and
educational cruise along the rugged Downeast Maine coast. All proceeds
benefit the foundation's lighthouse preservation efforts.
This cruise aboard the Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company's vessel Bay King
III will pass close to 10 lighthouses, including some that are rarely
seen.

Join the Friends of Little River Light, a chapter of the
American Lighthouse Foundation for the first international lighthouse
challenge. This Maine-Canada lighthouse event challenges participants to
visit five lighthouses in the "downeast" area.

Foundation for the second Light Paint Art Show and Sale! The theme of this
year's show is "The Beautiful Seacoast."

August 16, 2008...Five Lighthouse Cruise from Rye, New Hampshire!
Join the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, a chapter of the American
Lighthouse Foundation aboard the M/V Granite
State for a five-lighthouse cruise from 8:30am - 1:00pm, departing from
Rye Harbor on Route 1A in Rye, NH. The cruise will go close to Portsmouth
Harbor Light, Whaleback Light, White Island Light, Boon Island Light, and
the Cape Neddick "Nubble" Light. There is a snack bar on board and there
will be raffles and narration on the history of the lighthouses. Tickets are
$35 for adults and $25 for children under 12. Call Granite State Whale Watch
at (603) 964-5545 for reservations

Lighthouse. A unique opportunity to visit and tour the totally replicated
1870 lighthouse, a project that took only 60 days.
